QUARTERLY TRAINING - SCENARIOS

The third quarter training for the Rocky Mountain Hostage Negotiators Association will be on July 8, 2008 at the Highlands Ranch Law Enforcement Training Facility.  The address is 9008 A North Highway 85, Littleton CO.  80125.  We will meet at the Colorado Sheriff’s Association Building (the two story building with a glass atrium) in the morning for a RMHN business meeting and to break into groups.  Coffee, donuts, fruit juice and fruits will be available.  Please arrive by 8:30 as scenarios will begin at 9:00 A.M. and we will need to divide into groups to facilitate the training.  As we did last year the training will also include training psychological issues that pertain to negotiations.  This year Dr. Even Axelrod will be presenting the psychological portion of the training.  The scenario based training will be focusing on small group negotiations with professional actors from the CRISIS COMPANY playing the part of the person in crisis/hostage taker.  Anyone who has been trained as a Crisis Intervention Team member knows the CRISIS COMPANY and actors as they play the part of the person in crisis in that training.

R.M.H.N. will also be providing a BBQ lunch to all members of R.M.H.N.  If you bring a guest they are also welcome to join the BBQ for a nominal fee to cover the food.  Remember, if you are an active member of R.M.H.N. the BBQ is covered by your annual membership fee and there is no additional cost to you.  (We could use a few volunteers on Tuesday to assist with the BBQ)
